Text

The Text module is the basic module used to add static text and graphics to web sites.  It can also be used to display multiple "chunks" of text called text items all at once, in tabs, or as a randomly chosen item.  The text module uses a What-you-see-is-what-you-get or WYSIWYG editor which allows great flexibility with styles.

When adding a text module to your container, you're presented with two content actions: Show all with two content display options of Default and Tabview, and a second content action of Show All Random with one content display option: Default.

Selecting the Show all action with Default as your content display will display all your text items in a user selectable vertical sequence with titles within Heading 2 <h2> tags, along with your styled body content. Any files added to your text item will be displayed in accordance to your module's Files configuration. The Module Title displays in a Heading 1 <h1> tag.

Similar to above, selecting the Show all action with Tabview as your content display will display all your text items in a separate tab. with titles as the tab name, along with your styled body content.

The Show All Random action with Default as your content display will randomly display one of your text items each time you visit the page.

The text module offers three areas of general configuration Aggregation, Files, and Pagination.

Aggregation
The Aggregation configuration tab allows you to display text items from other text modules added in other parts of your website. Within this configuration tab, you'll see a list of checkboxes displaying the Module Title of the text items, and the page that they are on. An option to suppress the editor's ability to edit a text item aggregated from another source is also available.

A great use-case would be to have four pages in your website which speak of a semiar you offer.  You would add a text module, and text items on the main page. On the three other pages, you add other text modules which are configured to aggregate the content from your main page.  Whenever you update the text item on one page, you're also updating the other three pages simultaneously.  Now the content across your website easily compliments instead of contradicts the information found on other pages.

Files
Within the Files configuration, you're presented options as to how you'd like to display files that you're adding to your text items.

Pagination
The pagination tab presents options for the number of text items to display per page, along with where you'd like to display your pagination links: Top and Bottom, Top Only, Bottom Only, or none at all.
