Container

The Container module is used to hold other modules. Each page has at least one container to hold other modules which are used to display items on that page.

For container modules created either as a hard-coded module in the theme, or added as a module, there are several different views available, though hard-coded modules cannot have their view changed without editing the theme.  However, the "main" theme container is actually a virtual container module which is only displayed in the "Default" view.

There are no content actions available for this module.

When adding a container module to your container (nested container), you're presented with several content display options.

Selecting the 'Default' content display presents all enclosed modules in a vertically stacked manner.  This is the standard display which is predominant throughout a standard web site.  When placing a nested container on the page, you'll see two (2) 'Add Module' buttons, the first is for the nested container, and the second is to place a 'sibling' module just beneath the nested container.

Selecting the 'Tabbed' content display presents all enclosed modules in a tabbed view, where only one enclosed module is displayed at a time with the list of all enclosed modules appearing as tabs.  There is also special tab when editing to insert an additional module in that container.  To move the modules left and right, use the 'Move Module Up/Down' in the module chrome menu.

Selecting the 'Two Column' content display presents the first two enclosed modules horizontally stacked in an equally split area. Any additional modules are simply hidden and would appear if another content display type is selected or one of the visible modules is deleted.  To move the modules left and right, use the 'Move Module Up/Down' in the module chrome menu.

Selecting the 'Three Column 'content display presents the first three enclosed modules horizontally stacked in an equally split area. Any additional modules are simply hidden and would appear if another content display type is selected or one of the visible modules is deleted. To move the modules left and right, use the 'Move Module Up/Down' in the module chrome menu

There are no Settings to Configure for the container module.
