Page and Menu Management
A web site consists of pages. Exponent creates dynamic menus and navigation views based on the easily arranged hierarchy of pages. How to Add, Delete, Edit and Reorder Pages on Your Site.
To access the Exponent CMS Page Manager, go to the administrative tool bar at the top of your page has and click on the tab called “Pages”
If you click on “Pages” you will see there are three drop down menu options to choose from.
Information
The first option in the drop down menu underneath “Pages” is “Information”. The “Information” option has an additional flyout menu that lists three things:
1. What the name of the page is that you're on currently
2. The Search Engine Friendly (SEF) URL (in the case of the screen shot above, you won't have an SEF URL for the Home page so that is left blank. An example of “About Us” is below.
3. What “Subtheme” or layout option the page that you're on is using. In the example above the “Subtheme” for the Home page is “Home Page” ... On most Exponent CMS websites the Home page will have a separate layout than other “internal” pages on the site. Those internal pages on the site would often be labeled with a “Subtheme” of “default”. (An Example of the “Default” “Subtheme” is below.) In certain instances there may be a reason for a website to have multiple layout options other than just “Home Page” and “Default”
